Design Thinking

The design of the PS system is based on a Subtractive model, borrowed from Game Theory.

It balances 4 main parameters:

  1. responsiveness: how quick it can adapt and update

  2. stability: how reliably updates a member’s PS progression in edge-cases (i.e.: sudden/steep changes in performance from a period to the other)

  3. fairness: how meritocratic and “human” it is in reflecting someone’s effort and participation within a Hub.

  4. flexibility: how customizable it is, based on each community’s unique internal dynamics and needs.

The introduction of c as a constraining factor adds a stabilizing effect, preventing abrupt changes in PS. The progressive transition to decentralized customization of c as a local parameter lets each community take its choice, while aligning risk with responsibility through a staking mechanism.
